10 years.
It’s not everyday you take pictures for a couple who has loved each other ten years. They’ve seen each other through high school proms, first days of college and on into even masters and doctorate degrees. To be honest, they’ve already set up their marriage for success in that they’ve experienced good times and bad. Not that I know this specifically, but with time comes so many sweet, difficult and fun moments that grow a relationship to be strong and able to withstand the winds and enjoy the sunny days.
With that being said, it was such a joy to photograph such genuine, deep and precious love between Emily and Ryan. Because they celebrated their 10 year anniversary of dating, they decided to get out their box of love letters they started back in high school and read some of them during their session.
I mean, who else can say this!? If it’s you, I’m impressed!
I personally think that this can be such a valuable piece to a relationship. And it’s never too late to start. With those winds that all relationships experience, these letters that were written during times of getting to know one another, giddiness and excitement, can be valuable reminders of the love you share between each other.
I hope that Emily and Ryan keep these, add to these and smile looking back on these throughout the years to come.
And I hope Jordan and I dig out our letters we wrote each other in college, because….it would be fun, right Jordan!? 😉
Anyway, I think it goes without saying how much I adore Ryan and Emily, and I just loved getting to know them better during their session.
Emily’s are just gorgeous, and when she smiles, it’s like there’s nothing more radiant in that moment. I think there’s a reason or 8408 why Ryan has never let her go, right? 😉
I’m so pumped for their wedding this August and can’t wait to see what excitement this new journey of marriage has in store for them!
